We have 4 days of testing under our belts and only have 2 more to go.  I have been so proud of your children from the "can do" attitudes to their great work ethic.  I think they have been pleasantly surprised by the ease of the testing process too.

Upcoming events:  Friday, May 3 we will walk to the high school to watch a theater performance.  The weather is supposed to be much cooler so please encourage your child to bring a jacket and dress appropriately.  Also, Friday afternoon is our annual LIVING MUSEUM to highlight all of the work put into our famous scientist and inventor projects.  Your child will be "on display" in our classroom and the projects will be available to see in the hall.  As noted in a past blog post, the children do not have to spend money to dress the part of their character. It can be as simple as a single prop they hold or you may go all out with a costume and accessories.  We hope you can make it on Friday.  I will also post pictures of the event on the blog.

Field Day Will Be Wednesday, May 8.  Your child may need/want sunscreen and a change of clothes (sometimes we get wet).  Tennis shoes only PLEASE!  We also will be eating a sack lunch.  Your child may bring a sack lunch from home or purchase a school sack lunch as that will be their only lunch choice that day.

We have had the privilege of having Ms. Christina Gordon in our classroom for her field experience work and her student teaching.  Ms. Gordon is a senior at Southwest Baptist University and will be graduating in May.  Her last day with us will be Wednesday, May 8
As a way of saying thank you for all she has done and to send her off to her own classroom well prepared, we are creating a "teacher basket" full of classroom necessities like pens, clips, note pads, Tylenol :), gift cards, etc.  If you would like to contribute to the basket please send your contribution by Tuesday, May 7.  I will have a secret box for the donations under my teacher desk.  THANK YOU!!

Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
